Stripping oily skin makes it oilier

The instinct with oily skin is to wash harder. It works for an hour, and then the skin, having lost more than it could spare, produces extra sebum to compensate. By mid-afternoon you are shinier than you would have been.

This gel takes the other approach. It removes the day's oil, make-up and pollution residue, and it stops there. Skin comes away clean and matte rather than tight, which is the only version of clean worth having.

Morning and evening. Apply to damp skin and massage gently until the gel turns to a light foam. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Follow with the Clarifying & Toning Facial Lotion, then your usual moisturiser. Once or twice a week, use the Deep Cleansing Facial Scrub before this gel rather than instead of it.
