Clean, then really clean

No cleanser removes everything. A residue of product, make-up and hard-water minerals stays on the skin after rinsing. It is invisible, but enough to dull the complexion and block what you apply next.

This lotion takes care of that last layer. Sweep it over the face after washing and it lifts what the gel left behind, leaving skin smooth and evenly matte rather than tight. Use it morning and evening, between cleansing and moisturising.

Hibiscus, from calyx to complexion

The hibiscus we use is the African variety, the same flower brewed as bissap across West Africa. We work with the calyxes, naturally concentrated in fruit acids, pyruvic acid chief among them.

Applied to skin, these acids support natural cell renewal and help refine surface texture. This is not an aggressive peel. It is a gradual smoothing that shows over weeks rather than overnight.

Shine control that doesn't backfire

Most toners marketed for oily skin lean on alcohol. It works for an hour, then the skin compensates by producing more sebum than before.

We took the other route. MatEquilibra®, our complex of organic acids and polyphenols from the dried leaves of Cleome gynandra, sourced exclusively from Burkina Faso through a solvent-free, eco-designed process, works with the skin rather than against it.

Morning and evening, after cleansing. Saturate a cotton pad and sweep over the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Do not rinse. Follow with your usual moisturiser.
